I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff, especially Jesse at the front desk, was incredibly helpful and friendly. They made sure I had a comfortable room on the ground floor, which was greatly appreciated after a long day of travel. The hotel is easy to find and offers great views of the mountains. The room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. I also enjoyed the breakfast options, which included waffles, eggs, sausage, and more. the cleanliness, facilities, and staff were top-notch.
Can't fault the property in any way.

The breakfast offers lots of fruit and pastries. The location is unbeatable and incredible, 1 km from a victorian pier.

The pool was lovely and warm, perfect for the kids. The location is buzzing, just a stone's throw from restaurants and a cool market.

Good location. Our second time here. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast plus it was raining so we stayed in for dinner which was also good. Very enjoyable stay.
Nothing - all excellent

Would book again as it was a lovely stay for the holidays. The hotel is clean, its staff and rooms are amazing. The location is amazing and brilliant, 15 minutes' walk to an art museum. Extra care from the efficient staff.

What a great location and fabulous hotel. Fantastic breakfast, great leisure facilities which need to be booked but not a problem. Underground parking (£16 a night). Lovely spacious bedroom with everything you need.

Very dignified lobby
The pool is unfortunately very untidy: murky water, the edge of the pool has not been cleaned for weeks, shower gel/shapoo bottles empty!

The room and breakfast were both excellent. Lovely big comfortable bed, nicely furnished and spotless room, including bathroom. Molton Brown added a touch of luxury. The breakfast was well organised, well staffed, plentiful with lots of variety and very tasty.
Parking is not easy. Although there is an underground car park, which I pre-paid at booking, it was full (as was the hotel). We found a public car park just down the road which was cheaper though not as convenient or secure. Be careful on the way out too - I scraped an alloy on the exit gate (it has some sharp brackets at wheel height!).

I would probably have liked the pool area the best, but didn't have time to use it. I thought the conservatory area and the pool area looked very inviting and would have loved to have had some time to spend there relaxing.
Only one small thing I didn't like and that was the shower over the bath. The shower itself had good pressure, but the screen was not long enough and the bathroom floor was flooded by the time two of use had used the shower.

Very good location, beautiful Victorian hotel, already a bit outdated, but still has style. The staff was totally friendly and an all around nice stay.

Nothing, the staff were unprofessional, the TV didn't work in the room and ahd to be replaced, the car park gates wouldn't open, the meal in the restaurant was poor and generally not a good experience.

The royale has a great location, just a short walk from the lovely dorset steam show! Our executive queen room wasnice and neat. We enjoyed exploring the beautiful rock pools that revealed themselves at low tide. The staff was friendly and always ready to help.

Good location, nice old hotel style. Very nice staff.
Room was exceptionally noisy - until late in the evening there was noise from the kitchen. Unacceptable.

We stayed at the Norfolk Royale Hotel over the New Year for 3 nights and had a lovely big room with arm chairs as well. The breakfasts were very nice and everything you could want was available. It also had a nice bar. The hotel is very central so we were able to walk every where which was great. Walking along the beach and promenade on NYD was great. Overall a lovely central hotel. (They just need to update their TV's, see below).
The negative point of the hotel was that our room had a very old TV which had a poor signal. (I understand that this was the case for many rooms). I think they need to put flat screens in all the rooms with freeview channels and there would be no complaints from people.
